Charging Instructions: When charging, do not leave your lithium battery unattended. Always charge your lithium battery on a fire resistant table or metal bench top. Always check the polarity of your male / female quick connector ends before charging your lithium battery. Never charge your lithium battery with a nickel (NiCd or Nimh) charger. Always charge your lithium battery with a per cell dedicated lithium charger (IE: 11.1V – 3 cells Lithium, 14.8V – 4 cell Lithium, 18.5V – 5 cell Lithium, 22.2V – 6 cell lithium). If you already have a “Lithium Charger” like the CR-1 Smart Charger that you can either select the “Per Cell” or “Charge Rate” of your lithium battery-pack. Then you can charge either a Lithium-Ion, Lithium-Polymer or Lithium-Prismatic battery-pack.
Quick Connector: Your choice at no extra charge. All Cordless Renovations Lithium Battery-Packs are manufactured with the 2-Pin SM JST connector, male end is soldered to the battery; female end is shipped with battery.

Question: How do I figure out how long will it take for my battery-pack to charge? Answer: Take the DC output of your charger (i.e.: 1 amp) divided that number by the amp hour of your battery-pack (i.e.: 4000) = 4 hours and that’s how long it will take to charge your battery.
Lithium Battery Warning: Do not use a Nickel based charger to charge a lithium battery. Charging a lithium battery with a non-designated charger will void your warranty and possibly cause a fire. When charging your lithium batteries you should always remain in constant observation to monitor the charging process and reaction to potential problems that may occur. Failure to do so may result in fire. Some lithium chargers on the market may have technical deficiencies that may cause it to charge your lithium battery incorrectly or at an improper rate. (over 1 amp per hour charge) It is your responsibility to assure the charger you purchased works properly and is preset to the correct setting.
If at any time or for any reason your lithium battery is warm to the touch, or you witness your battery starting to balloon, swell-up, smoke or get hot, discontinue the charging process immediately and disconnect the battery from the charger and observe it in a safe place outside of your home or garage. If this occurs, turn the charger off, take the battery outside and/or out of the device your’re using it in, place the battery on a concrete surface and call the manufacturer. Check your chargers “per cell setting” and make sure you have selected to correct number of cells that reflects your batteries voltage, ie: (7.4V = 2 cells, 11.1V = 3 cell, 14.8V = 4 cells, 18.5V = 5 cells, 22.2V = 6 cells). Also, make sure you have the correct charger (Nickel, Lithium, SLA, Zinc) for your batteries chemistry.
Wire lead shorts can cause fire! If you accidentally short circuit the wire leads to the PCB, the battery must be placed in a safe area for observation for approximately 15 minutes. If a short occurs and contact is made with metal (such as rings on your hand) severe injuries may occur due to the conductibility. A battery can still ignite even after 15 minutes. If for any reason you cut the quick connector terminal from the lithium battery, your warranty is voided.
Never store or charge your battery-pack inside your car in extreme temperatures, since extreme temperatures could ignite and cause a fire. Never drop your battery. If you install your lithium battery within an enclosed environment, we suggest you add air vents to the structure or place a fan within the structure to help circulation.
